The History of Our Sheep
We started breeding Wiltshire Horn Sheep in 1998.
In 2005 we changed to Wiltipoll sheep as they suited the market requirements better.
We introduced Australian White sheep in 2014 as we were very impressed with the qualities of this breed. Rapid maturing, well muscled bodies, ease of care and the fact that the breed had been developed especially for Australian conditions .
The request from many of our repeat buyers for these sheep also encouraged us in our decision.
We developed an excellent flock and many of our sheep have proved to be good foundation sheep for a large number of breeders.
The Howes Creek Hills sheep crossgraze with Poll Hereford cattle in paddocks with plenty of shelter.
They are known for their good structure, large frame and excellent conformation. Our sheep do not have foot problems as we breed sheep with black feet and pay strict attention to this important feature.
The property is situated 16 km from Mansfield so they are used to extreme cold and days of unrelenting heat.
